Honey locust

Knowing it

Wicked branched thorns on wild trees, fine feathery leaves and long twisted pods. Bottoms and pastures statewide; thornless forms are planted.

What a tree company sees

Strong wood, but the thorns puncture tires and boots and make removals miserable. Mimosa webworm and borers hit stressed trees.
